Presentation
The statutes of FFACE (Federation of Film and AudiovisualComposers of Europe) were signed on January 26th, 2006,
at the hotel Majestic-Barrière, in Cannes, during the MIDEM.
FFACE intends to regroup existing associations of film and
audiovisual media music composers throughout Europe.
The Federation aims to assert and maintain the specificity
of the profession, reinforce the dialogue with producers,
editors and broadcasters, enrich respective professional
cultures, allow for a greater hearing by the European
authorities and facilitate exchanges and mobility at the
time of international co-productions.
The Board of Directors of FFACE has defined a set of
guidelines to govern its actions :
- To defend the principles of the collective administration
of authors rights by supporting and monitoring the
activities of our collecting societies in the context of the
intellectual property laws.
-To protect and develop the rich diversity of our cultures.
- To consolidate and improve the status of film and audiovisual
music composer and to increase the awareness of and respect
for composers and their creations both in the industries they
serve and society in general.
-To establish a platform for communication and exchange
between European composers.
