Composer, President of MUSIMAGEN
“In a world where culture...
and entertainment business weigh more and more in the audiovisual
sector, Musimagen claims to bring together the majority of film music
composers in this country, from beginners to the more established,
and so make heard the voice of a united group, of growing importance.
To attain its objectives, Musimagen has put in place a series of
initiatives: creating a strong and united group; consulting and defending
the working rights of its members; make known and broadcast the works
of its members; take part in cinemafestivals and all types of creative and
artistic forums at national and international level, broaden the exposure of
the profession; reinforce thecommunication between members via a forum
of information on a web site dedicated to film music; organise concerts,
seminars, conferences and all types of activities that could help attain the
above mentioned objectives. From the very beginning of our collaboration
with UCMF, in 2003, we envisioned the creation of a European Federation
of film music composers. It was in January 2006, precisely in Cannes,
that the dream came true with the creation of FFACE. Now we stand at
the start of a new journey, a new opportunity to communicate, a new way
to apprehend Europe.
